I was elected as a councillor for the Osterley & Spring Grove ward in the 2014 Hounslow Council elections; stood here in 2006 with nowhere near enough votes to make it. I was a councillor for Isleworth North ward in the 1990s. There’s much to learn after many years but at the same time I already have some council experience and familiar with the neighbourhoods I have to try to represent. I have lived in Isleworth since the mid 1980s: on Linkfield, Parkwood and now London Road.
Am always willing to learn what I can about the needs of Osterley & Spring Grove and to be a link to the rest of the council and the services it is responsible for. I am here to support individuals, neighbourhoods, residents group and service user groups. I am also one of 60 councillors across Hounslow from Chiswick to Bedfont and am expected (as well as intend) to play my full part in the affairs of the borough as a whole.
To do those two things as well and as openly as I can, I intend to regularly update this website with news and updates on issues affecting Osterley & Spring Grove whether current, developing or historic. I have however been a member of the Labour Party since the late 1970s and it would be very difficult for me not to post party political items as and when, particularly in the run up to elections.
I can be contacted in a number of ways, telephone, e mail or by post, details can be found by clicking here: Other information about my council responsibilities
I also hold a monthly advice surgery, held on the second Wednesday of the month from 18.30 to 19.30 at Isleworth & Syon School, in the Maths Hut, which is accessible from the front of the school, to the left of the vehicle “in” gate, Ridgeway Road, Isleworth, Middlesex, TW7 5JL.
My council email is: email@example.com
I very much appreciate the assistance, support and advice received from Osterley & Spring Grove Ward resident David Pavett who is responsible for getting this going and helps place my posts on this website. Without whom it would still just be another returning idea in my small brain and a long outstanding item on my to do list.
